Marriott International has opened the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Pudong East in China, under a long-term management agreement with Shanghai Hengchang Industry.
The 323-room property is the Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand’s 14th hotel in Shanghai.
Marriott International president and CEO Arne Sorenson said that the company is delighted to be adding another property to its portfolio in China.
"This hotel represents our 62nd hotel in the country and our 20th in Shanghai alone, where we are the largest operator of full-scale hotels in the city," he added.
Shanghai Marriott Hotel Pudong East general manager James Macadie said: "With its unique design and sense of place, the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Pudong East hotel features high standards of services, facilities and amenities of Marriott Hotels & Resorts for business travellers who seamlessly blend work and play worldwide."
The hotel serves various local and international culinary delights under four food and beverage options.
