Hampton Hotels has opened a new Hampton Inn & Suites property in Ocala, Florida, US, just a few days after inaugurating a new property in Iowa.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Ocala is located off the I-75 near the College of Central Florida and the Downtown Square.

The 101-room property, operated by Summit Management, provides amenities such as Hampton’s signature Perfect Mix Lobby, a business centre, meeting space, a modern fitness centre and a heated outdoor pool.

It features artwork by local artists.

Hampton Inn & Suites Ocala general manager Fern Hildreth said, "Quality accommodations and amenities combined with proactive, friendly service from our team members – all backed by the 100% Hampton® Guarantee – make us highly competitive in the Ocala area."

The new hotel is the second Hampton property in Ocala.

Hampton plans to open over 250 hotels in the US, including 19 in Florida.

The group opened the 93-room Hampton Inn Iowa City/University Area on 3 December. It is the second Hampton hotel in Iowa City, with another property in the city also in the pipeline.

Owned by Ravi Lodging and managed by Hawkeye Hotels, the property was built in just 131 days.

Towards the end of November, Hampton announced the opening of two more hotels, one in Columbia, Maryland, and the other in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The 124-room Hampton Inn & Suites Columbia/South is the second Hampton property in Columbia, and the group plans to open four more in Maryland.

The 113-room Hampton Inn & Suites/Waterfront-West Homestead in Pittsburgh is managed by Hospitality Ventures Management Group.
