Radisson, a unit of Carlson Rezidor Hotel, has signed an agreement with Atlantica Hotels International (Brazil) to launch a new property in Brazil.

The 132-room hotel is scheduled to open on 31 October 2013 with a mulit-million dollar renovation.

The new hotel is located at Porto Alegre, which is the capital and largest city in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Radisson’s new property lies just four miles from Salgado International airport and is located in the Bela Vista neighbourhood.

The hotel’s restaurant, Becco’s, features regional and international cuisine, along with a la carte dining and buffet style service.

Special features including 24hr room service, a full-service salon, laundry service and messenger service will be available for visitors.

The hotel is near to the downtown and popular landmarks such as the Brick da Redenção, Ibere Camargo Foundation and Shopping Iguatemi.

Radisson, Americas chief operating officer Javier Rosenberg said that investing in the country requires patience and strong local connectivity.
