Renaissance, Provence

Renaissance Hotels has expanded its presence in France with the launch of a new hotel, the Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel, in Provence.

The new hotel is situated in the centre of the new Forum Culturel district, near to the Cours Mirabeau.

Renaissance Aix-en-Provence is a five-star hotel designed by Marseille architects Claude Sabin Nadjari and Rémy Saada, and features contemporary design along with a Provençal garden.

The property has 133 guest rooms and suites that have been developed by Julie Fuillet of the ‘From Here to There’ Design Studio and is based on the theme of bespoke craft with furniture created by French designer Christian Ghion.

With over 400 paintings and sculptures the hotel offers guests a collection of contemporary art curated by Isabelle Viatte of Via Crea agency, while the ‘Haut La Main!’ exhibit is brought to life through a special programme of events with artists, personalities and entertainers.

The hotel has selected chef Jean-Marc Banzo to offer a culinary experience in the hotel’s two restaurants – the Le Clos gourmet Mediterranean restaurant, and the bistro Le Comptoir du Clos, a terrace restaurant offering views of Provence.

The brand also conducts a special signature entertainment programme, the RLife Live event at its bar L’Avant-Scène.

Renaissance also offers exclusive treatments by Cosmébio at the hotel in the YMALIA Spa.

The hotel features an indoor swimming pool, sauna as well as a fitness centre.

Additional amenities at the hotel include 700m² of meeting space with seven rooms suitable for gatherings, conferences and receptions and the Salle des Pas Perdus meeting space on 1,000m² of Provencal gardens and terrace.

The Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel brings the current Renaissance Hotels portfolio in France to five; the other properties in the region are the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel, Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadero Hotel, Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel and the Renaissance Paris La Defense Hotel.

Renaissance Hotels currently has over 155 hotels across 35 countries around the world.
