The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marriott International, has opened a new hotel in north-east China, The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin.
Located at the centre of the downtown business district by the Haihe River, the new property features 277 guestrooms and 53 suites that have been created by luxury hospitality designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company president and chief operations officer Herve Humler said, "The opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin in one of China’s most strategically important cities reflects our desire to meet the growing Chinese appetite for international luxury hospitality experiences."
The property includes the Ritz-Carlton Club, featuring an open kitchen that provides five food and beverage offerings, including English Afternoon Tea, a private dining room, lounge and dedicated bar.
According to the company, the architecture of the new hotel is based on the neo-classical style of the early 20th century with stately hotel rooms designed around a courtyard.
Additional amenities at the new hotel include four restaurants, a lobby lounge serving cocktails and a traditional Afternoon Tea.
The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin also features the Flair lifestyle bar and lounge with live DJs, and private wine and cigar rooms.
Additionally, the new property includes a 1,050m² Grand Ballroom and a courtyard as well as the Ritz-Carlton Spa with therapeutic treatments including China rose-based signatures.
