Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, a Connecticut-based hotel and leisure company, has selected GEP’s spend analytics services and sourcing and procurement software to automate and streamline its procurement processes.

Enterprise sourcing and procurement teams at Starwood in North America and Europe are currently working with GEP tools such as eRFx for sourcing, eSupplier for supplier relationships and eProjects for project management.

The GEP sourcing and procurement software is easy to install and use, claims the company.

"Enterprise sourcing and procurement teams at Starwood in North America and Europe are currently working with GEP tools such as eRFx for sourcing, eSupplier for supplier relationships and eProjects for project management."

It is offered as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) that uses cloud economics to handle the complex processing requirements of hotels and thereby reduces huge infrastructure and support costs.

All the GEP products are platform-agnostic and work with SAP, Oracle or any other major ERP or F&A system.

The company will soon make its services – such as spend analysis, sourcing, supplier and contract management, and procure-to-pay (P2P) – available on a single, unified platform that will be compatible with cloud, mobile and touch technologies.

GEP co-founder and executive vice president Neha Shah said the GEP procurement software helps enterprise procurement teams enhance productivity, streamline complex work flows and eliminate processing snarls.

"Starwood is a valued customer and our relationship has expanded and thrived over years," Shah added.

New Jersey-based software firm GEP has experience in the leisure and hospitality sector that allows it to provide more rapid time-to-value across hospitality-specific categories.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has a portfolio of 1,134 owned and managed properties in around 100 countries across the world.
