Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has introduced its Four Points by Sheraton brand in Lima, Peru, by opening Four Points by Sheraton Miraflores in the country.
The new property is owned by Top Rank Group and managed by Interamerican Promo Hotels.
Located in the heart of Miraflores with many restaurants, entertainment centres, shops and gardens in the vicinity, the Four Points by Sheraton Miraflores hotel features 134 rooms equipped with Four Comfort Bed and modern bathrooms with separate walk-in shower.
The hotel also features a 600ft² fitness centre, free Wi-Fi and 3,000ft² of meeting and event space that is distributed in eight meeting rooms and pre-function areas.
Food and beverage options at the hotel include an Umami restaurant that offers Peruvian fusion cuisine, and a lobby bar that serves food and drinks, including Four Points Best Brews.
Starwood speciality select brands senior vice president Brian McGuinness said that Four Points has a loyal worldwide following thanks to its contemporary style and ‘best for business’ services and amenities, which resonate with travellers both in Latin America and globally.
"We’re pleased to offer guests a new lodging option in Peru and particularly in Miraflores, one of Lima’s most important business districts," McGuinness said.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Americas co-president Osvaldo Librizzi said the company is excited about the entry of the Four Points by Sheraton brand into Peru, one of the most dynamic travel markets in Latin America.
"This opening is part of our continued expansion strategy in Latin America and reflects the rapid success that the brand has enjoyed in the region in recent years," Librizzi added.
In the Latin American region, Four Points by Sheraton currently operates 13 hotels in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Mexico and Uruguay.
Starwood also plans to open Four Points by Sheraton Cancun, Mexico in 2013 and Four Points by Sheraton Bogota, Colombia in 2014.
