Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide will open the new Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Odessa, Ukraine in 2014.
Owned by LARK (Vertex Hotel Group) and Bristol-Krasnaya, the new property will be the first Luxury Collection hotel in Ukraine.
Originally built in 1898 and designed by Alexander Bernardazzi and Adolf Minkus, the Hotel Bristol is located on the sycamore-lined cobblestone Pushkinskaya Street.
The 112-room Hotel Bristol is currently under renovation, following which it will feature a restaurant, a bar and around 10,000ft² of event and meeting space for celebrations and business meetings.
The hotel will also offer leisure facilities such as an indoor pool, spa and fitness centre.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Europe, Africa and Middle East president Michael Wale said the company is pleased to partner with LARK and Bristol-Krasnaya as they introduce The Luxury Collection brand to Ukraine.
"The addition of Hotel Bristol to The Luxury Collection brand portfolio allows us to provide global explorers with authentic travel experiences and exceptional service in Odessa, a popular, charming and historic seaside destination," Wale added.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Europe, Africa and Middle East acquisitions and development senior vice president Bart Carnahan said that this latest addition to the company’s luxury portfolio reinforces its commitment to growing in Eastern Europe with a strong focus on conversions.
"By joining The Luxury Collection, Hotel Bristol, Odessa will be able to continue delivering authentic experiences and an exceptional level of service to its guests while tapping into the power and breadth of the Starwood network," Carnahan added.
Hotel Bristol, Odessa will be the second property for Starwood in Ukraine after the Four Points by Sheraton Zaporozhye, which opened in 2011.
The company will also open its third property, Sheraton Kiev Olympiysky Hotel, in Ukraine in 2014.
