Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has signed an agreement with Parnas Hotel to open The Parnas, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Seoul in South Korea.
Situated in Seoul’s upscale southern district of Gangnam, the hotel will represent the first Luxury Collection hotel in South Korea.
The new hotel is also part of Starwood’s expansion plans to strengthen its position in the Asia-Pacific luxury hospitality landscape.
Scheduled to open in 2016, The Parnas, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Seoul will have 138 guest rooms including 24 suites, along with a restaurant, speciality bar and lobby lounge, a spa as well as a well-equipped gym.
The hotel will not only offer its signature concierge service, but will also provide exceptional local experiences to discover the little explored sights of Seoul.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Asia Pacific operations and global initiatives senior vice president Lothar Pehl said the group is pleased to announce the signing of the new hotel and the debut of The Luxury Collection brand in South Korea.

Parnas Hotel CEO Hong-sup Song said, "With Starwood’s powerful sales platform and The Luxury Collection’s distinctive global portfolio, we are looking forward to the successful opening of The Parnas Hotel as the brand’s first hotel in Korea."
The hotel group plans to open two luxury collection hotels in Dalian and Hangzhou in 2014.
Currently, Starwood operates six hotels in Seoul including W Seoul – Walkerhill, Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel and The Westin Chosun Seoul along with two hotels in the development pipeline – Aloft Seoul Gangnam and Sheraton Daegu Hotel.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide operates 38 properties under its luxury brands in Asia Pacific including St. Regis, W and Luxury Collection and has more than 30 hotels in the development pipeline.
