Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has unveiled the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The new property, located next to Pittsburgh International Airport, is the group’s second Sheraton hotel in the city of Pittsburgh.
As part of the brand’s $8bn expansion, the hotel underwent a multi-million dollar renovation before re-opening under the Sheraton label.
The Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel shares close proximity with businesses such as Federal Express and GlaxoSmithKline, and entertainment venues such as Pittsburgh Zoo and the Andy Warhol Museum.
The hotel features 200 guest rooms that have been renovated and equipped with Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, oversized work desk, ergonomic chair, high-speed Internet and LCD flat panel television.
The renovation also includes the addition of Sheraton brand’s Link@ Sheraton experienced with Microsoft, a social hub in the lobby, and Link@Sheraton Café.
Other amenities at the hotel include around 9,000ft² of meeting space, restaurant, outdoor pool, Sheraton Club Lounge, and fitness facility featuring the brand’s new health and fitness programme, Sheraton Fitness, Programmed by Core Performance.
Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel is owned by an affiliate of Platinum Equity.
Platinum Equity principal David Aroesty said the company has transformed the hotel, improved operations and enhanced the guest experience.
