German luxury hotel company Steigenberger Hotel Group has opened a new resort, the Steigenberger Aqua Magic, on the Red Sea Coast in Egypt.
The new resort has 707 rooms and suites including 294 specially designed family suites with a separate children’s bedroom, all of which feature individually adjustable air conditioning, satellite TV and high-speed Internet access.
The hotel has a certified Aqua Park offering large water slides, a separate children’s area with play equipment, five swimming pools and a children’s pool.
The property has its own private beach, which is located a few minutes away and can be reached via a shuttle service.
Amenities at the hotel include a Spa World, a steam bath, a sauna, beauty treatments and a gym as well as a nine-hole golf course with an electronic driving range.
Other gaming facilities at the property include boccia, table tennis and table football and a 2.5km jogging and walking trail.
Steigenberger Hotel Group CEO Puneet Chhatwal said the Steigenberger Aqua Magic complements the group’s Al Dau Beach Resort in Hurghada.
"Egypt guarantees ideal holiday conditions in summer and winter alike, something which is appreciated by guests from all over the world," Chhatwal added.
The resort features nine different restaurants and bars with sun terraces serving regional specialities and international dishes as well as Italian cuisine, pool snacks, Arab delicacies and a children’s buffet.
The hotel’s Magic Sky Restaurant on the roof offers dinner with a view, while Souk, an Arabian/African style market, offers a unique shopping experience with designer shops and an entertainment area.
Al Dau Development chairman Bassel Saad said, "Despite of all the challenges in the business environment over the past years due to the fluctuating political and economical situation in Egypt, we managed to complete the project and introduce to the destination a complete 5 stars family resort with 707 rooms and immense facilities."
