Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.77% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.46% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 50% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s travel & tourism industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Bally’s posted 39 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 85.71% over the previous month, followed by Booking Holdings with 9 jobs and a 200% growth. American Express Global Business Travel with 7 IT jobs and Flight Centre Travel Group with 6 jobs, recorded a 600% growth and a 20% growth, respectively, while Toronto Transit Commission recorded a decline of 64.29% with 5 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.09%, up by 3.23% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.72% share, registered an increase of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.19% share, down 75% over July 2022.
