US-based interior design company Parker Torres Design will lead the renovation of the guest rooms and suites.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando general manager Ryan Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to announce our plans for the complete makeover of Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

“As a Waldorf Astoria hotel, our guests expect the best in luxury accommodations and world-class amenities and we are committed to providing them with an exceptional experience that surpasses their expectations as soon as they walk through our doors.”

The property-wide renovation follows an extensive refurbishment of the hotel’s meeting and event spaces in 2022.

While the top-to-bottom transformation is slated to be completed by the end of the year, enhancements commenced in 2022 with the opening of the new Central Park Ballroom which features an 8,000ft²-plus ballroom, roughly 2,600ft² of pre-function space and a planned 8,700ft² covered outdoor terrace.

These additions will take the property’s event space to approximately 60,000ft² of multi-functional meeting space, including two ballrooms, two boardrooms, 13 meeting rooms and outdoor spaces alongside the already under-construction Central Park Gardens.

The lobby will be renovated from April through June 2023 while retaining the original Waldorf Astoria brand clock. This refurbished area will have marble accents and a natural colour palette.
