The renovated Everhome Suites prototype was developed in collaboration with partners, including architects, operators, general contractors and suppliers.

The new design addresses various industry challenges, such as changing guest preferences, to provide owners with assurance in building while ensuring a quality experience for guests seeking extended stays.

Key aspects of the new prototype include a significant reduction in construction costs, estimated at a 13% decrease per room compared to previous designs. This is achieved through refined layouts and material efficiencies.

The design also incorporates operational improvements that facilitate streamlined operations and lean staffing, allowing owners to manage costs without compromising service quality.

The guest experience is also a major focus, with the prototype catering to evolving needs by offering apartment-style suites equipped with full kitchens and flexible workspaces.

The prototype maximises the capacity to nearly 120 suites, aiming to improve the economic viability of projects.

Choice Hotels International Extended Stay Development senior vice-president Ron Burgett said: “Extended stay remains a strong interest for owners, who want brands that can help them navigate evolving market cycles with confidence.

“This next‑generation Everhome Suites prototype reflects that opportunity. It brings together thoughtful design and operational discipline to simplify development and ensure the product resonates with today’s extended stay guest.”

Choice Hotels’ redesign process involved collaboration with BRR Architecture, among other design partners, ensuring that the design is adaptable and scalable across various markets.

The first constructions based on this new prototype are anticipated to begin shortly, marking a new phase in the expansion of the Everhome Suites brand.

Earlier this week, Everhome Suites announced that it is to expand its footprint with recent openings in Kentucky, New Jersey and Texas, taking its portfolio to 27 operating hotels across the US.
