The Montage Ras El Hekma resort will include 200 hotel guest rooms and suites, as well as 96 branded residences.
It aims to combine hospitality-led residential living with access to an array of amenities.
Facilities will include beachfront swimmable lagoons, six dining venues, retail outlets, and a spa with 13 treatment rooms.
The resort will also provide event spaces, large outdoor areas, and an Owners’ Clubhouse, targeting both guests and private homeowners.
The Montage Residences Ras El Hekma, positioned in the Wadi Yemm precinct, encompass 96 villas offering between three and six bedrooms.
Modon and Montage’s collaboration on the Ras El Hekma project marks the debut of the Montage brand in Egypt, with both companies indicating that this partnership could extend to other Modon destinations in the future.
Montage Hotels & Resorts currently maintains a portfolio of six properties in the US and Mexico, with additional developments underway in the Bahamas, Punta Mita, and Valle de Guadalupe.
Modon Holding Group CEO Bill O’Regan said: “Montage Hotels & Resorts are renowned for serving affluent travellers and homeowners, delivering an elevated guest experience and a commitment to refined living while remaining authentic to their surroundings.
“This ethos aligns closely with Modon’s vision for Ras El Hekma, where we are creating a distinctive Mediterranean destination defined by quality, experience and long-term value.”
Montage Ras El Hekma is part of the $35bn Ras El Hekma masterplan, which covers a 170.8-million-square-metre development and is expected to attract $110bn in investment by 2045.
Plans for Ras El Hekma include several cultural sites such as the Ras El Hekma Lighthouse and an amphitheatre with a capacity for 10,000 guests.
The development is designed for access by road, sea, and air, and will feature an international airport, high-speed rail links, major highways, marinas, and a cruise terminal.
Once completed, Ras El Hekma is projected to contribute around $25bn per year to Egypt’s GDP and create approximately 750,000 jobs.
