Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.41% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 0.52% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.33% in June 2021, a 2.53% drop over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 21.97% share, decline of 42% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.33%, registering a 59.26% decline from May 2021.

4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 6.82%, up 12.5% over the previous month.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Germany IT recruitment activity in June 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 27.14% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany travel & tourism industry during June 2021 over May 2021.

Deutsche Bahn posted 31 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 6.9% over the previous month, followed by Sixt with 25 jobs and a 66.67% drop. Uber Technologies with 17 IT jobs and TUI with 15 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 7.14% increase, respectively, while Deutsche Lufthansa recorded a 36.36% decline with 14 job postings during June 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.12%, down by 26.13% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 21.97% share, a growth of 123.08% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.39% share, down 55.81% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.52%, recording a month-on-month an increase of 100%.
