Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.45% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 4.79% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 75.55% in September 2021, registering a 23.57% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 10.48% share, an increase of 9.09% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 6.99%, registering a 42.86% decline from August 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.49%, up 60% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 96.81% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s travel & tourism industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 78 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 5.41% over the previous month, followed by Expedia Group with 75 jobs and a flat growth. Expeditors International of Washington with 15 IT jobs and American Express Global Business Travel with 9 jobs, recorded a 50% flat growth and a 12.5% flat growth, respectively, while AirAsia Group recorded an increase of 300% with 8 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.39%, up by 0.74% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 27.51% share, registered an increase of 26% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.1% share, up 66.67% over August 2021.
