Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.56% share in October 2021, recording an increase of 0.38% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 61.34% in October 2021, registering a 0.44% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 14.78% share, an increase of 55.63% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.17%, registering a 24.59% rise from September 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 7.49%, up 10.89% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 17.4% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s travel & tourism industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Walt Disney posted 176 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 46.67% over the previous month, followed by Expedia Group with 166 jobs and a 38.97% drop. BCD Travel Services with 161 IT jobs and XPO Logistics with 155 jobs, recorded a 78.89% flat growth and a 64.89% flat growth, respectively, while Expeditors International of Washington recorded an increase of 64.1% with 64 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.72%, up by 4.05% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25.15% share, registered a decline of 3.59% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.19% share, up 20.66% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.94%, recording a month-on-month increase of 40%.
