Accor has announced development of Hyde Hotel & Residences in Mazatlán, a Mexican coastal resort town along the Pacific shoreline in the state of Sinaloa.

The project, claimed to be México’s first Hyde hotel and branded residences, is being developed in collaboration with owner, Daniel Cárdenas Family, an international agriculture company based in Sinaloa.

Hyde Hotel & Residences Mazatlán is slated to break ground in late 2021.

It is scheduled to open in late 2023.

Dakota Development will be responsible for all design and technical insight for the expansive 75,277ft2 waterfront property with 300ft of private beach access.

Providing a range of accommodation options for leisure guests and business travelers, the hotel will feature 150 guestrooms, including 22 suites.

This luxury property will also provide a separate residential component comprising 50 one-, two- and three-bedroom premium residences.

Among the on-site amenities to be provided include a pool overlooking the seaside waters, spa and fitness facility, retail boutique and meeting and event space for groups.

It will feature five dining outlets including a full-service restaurant, lobby lounge and bar, gourmet café, poolside grill, and specialty bar.

Accor’s launch of the Hyde brand to México comes after the global expansion of its luxury portfolio as part of a recent acquisition of sbe’s hotel brands.

Further openings in México include the recent debut of SLS Cancun in February 2021 and the announcement of many Mondrian developments in Mexico City in 2022.
