Hospitality software company Actabl has launched digital itineraries within its Alice hotel operations platform to simplify the management of guest schedules and promote sustainable practices.

The new feature replaces traditional paper-based workflows with a single, live itinerary that remains current throughout a guest’s stay.

Actabl said that guest itineraries are traditionally managed through printed documents or static PDFs, which can quickly become outdated as plans change. Every update often requires staff to reprint and resend details, increasing manual workload and the potential for miscommunication.

Digital itineraries transform this process into a real-time experience, making it easier for hotels to efficiently deliver accurate information.

Hotels can customise digital itineraries with property branding elements such as logos, colours and fonts. The itineraries are shared instantly via email or SMS and can be accessed on any device without having to download an app.

Any staff updates appear immediately for guests, ensuring they always have the most up-to-date information at hand.

Guests may also interact with their itineraries, creating a practical guide throughout their stay rather than a one-time reference. This interactivity enhances convenience for guests while streamlining communication between them and hotel teams.

Digital itineraries contribute to sustainability goals by reducing reliance on printed materials and minimising paper waste. Security features such as guest authentication and automatic expiration help maintain information relevance and privacy.

The introduction of digital itineraries follows Actabl’s previously recognised concierge solution within Alice.

Actabl product management senior vice-president Stephen German said: “Today’s guests expect hotel service to meet them where they are, on their phone, in real time, without friction.

“Digital Itineraries help hotels consistently deliver on that expectation by replacing paper-based processes with a live, interactive experience. Guests stay informed, and hotel teams can focus on service instead of managing updates.”

In July 2025, Actabl introduced HotelData.com, allowing hoteliers to benefit from a new, free resource hub for data-driven decision-making.
