German hotel company AMANO Group has finalised the implementation of Mews’ hospitality operating system across all its properties, following a rapid digital transformation that began with a pilot programme in January 2025.
Over several months, the hotel group introduced the platform to each location, completing a portfolio-wide rollout by the end of July.

The integration covers AMANO Group’s network of 12 hotels and more than 1,300 rooms in Berlin, London, Leipzig, Düsseldorf and Munich.
The adoption of Mews technology replaces previous front desk operations with digital processes such as online check-in, digital room keys and self-service kiosks.
According to AMANO Group, these changes have reduced administrative tasks by 85%. Employees now focus more on guest interaction rather than routine reception duties.
AMANO Group CEO Phillip Rokeach said: “Switching to Mews was about more than technology – it was about transforming how we operate. Our hotels are fast-paced, and we needed a system that could keep up with our decision-making.

By GlobalData“Mews’ intuitive UI and integrated payments have been game-changers, especially with high staff turnover at the front office. Now, our team can focus on hospitality, not administration.”
Upon arrival, guests bypass traditional check-in desks and are greeted at the AMANO Café as part of this operational shift.
The decision to implement Mews represents a comprehensive move towards a unified digital platform for hotel management, rather than a standard property management system upgrade.
The process involved coordinated efforts between AMANO’s IT department and Mews staff to ensure effective onboarding and system integration.
Mews CEO Matt Welle said: “AMANO Group is a fantastic example of how technology can empower hoteliers to focus on what matters most: the guest. Their vision and speed of execution are truly impressive, and we’re proud to support their journey as they redefine urban hospitality.”
AMANO Group stated it plans to continue expanding this centralised approach as it grows its portfolio in the coming years.
The company has outlined intentions to maintain centralised systems and develop further technological initiatives across existing and future properties.
Last month, Mews secured $300m in a Series D funding round led by EQT Growth.
The round included participation from new investors Atomico and HarbourVest Partners, as well as existing backers Kinnevik, Battery Ventures, and Tiger Global. The investment valued the hospitality operating system provider at $2.5bn.
