Germany-based Apaleo has launched Apaleo Copilot, an AI-powered feature built into its property management platform to help hospitality businesses streamline day-to-day operations.

The launch comes as the sector faces increasing demands on staff and a need to adopt new technologies.

The AI agent enables hotel teams to use a chat interface to complete operational tasks such as assigning rooms, generating housekeeping reports, handling overbookings, managing guest arrivals and modifying reservations without switching between different applications.

The company developed Apaleo Copilot on an open API-first system that enables businesses to feed their own standard operating procedures and internal documentation into the infrastructure.

This training method allows the AI to execute requests in line with each property’s established processes and operating models.

As a result, properties ranging from single hotels to larger groups can adapt the tool according to individual requirements.

Apaleo Copilot offers several tools, including booking extensions, intelligent room allocation based on guest preferences or group status, no-show detection with applicable fee checks, and daily operational briefings covering room status and upcoming arrivals and departures.

Staff members interact with the system using natural language, which is designed to be accessible for those without technical backgrounds.

The platform’s architecture also supports connections with third-party applications and agents for broader agent-to-agent communication across hotel operations.

Apaleo CEO and founder Ulrich Pillau said: “We built Apaleo Copilot to be practical from day one, helping staff complete real tasks in natural language inside the system they already use. It is a much simpler, more natural way to bring AI into operations.”

According to Apaleo, the AI is built directly into existing workflows rather than added through separate, external tools.

Last month, Apaleo and THE FLAG group implemented the AI Trace Agent, which converts guest reservation comments into operational tasks for hotel staff without manual intervention.
