Hospitality group Marriott International has launched its first Autograph Collection property in Cape Town, South Africa, with the opening of Morea House hotel.

Situated along Cape Town’s Camps Bay coast, the property features 90 guest rooms and suites.

Cape Town-based interior architect Tristan du Plessis designed the hotel’s interiors.

Dining options at Morea House include OMRI, a restaurant serving Lebanese cuisine influenced by South African coastal ingredients, and a poolside restaurant on the second floor, featuring seasonal dishes.

The premises also house The Courtyard for quiet activities such as reading or tea service, and The Wine Room for private tastings.

In addition, Morea House, Autograph Collection provides several wellness services. Guests have access to a swimming pool, spa and activities such as sunrise yoga, coastal walks and mountain hikes.

Morea House general manager Albert Smit said: “When guests arrive, our intention is for them to feel as if they’ve discovered a sanctuary created just for them.

Morea House, Autograph Collection marks the latest addition to Marriott Bonvoy’s lineup of independent hotels.
