By using Mews’ integration ecosystem and tools for automated payments and reporting, Basecamp aims to streamline its workflow and establish a consistent operational framework across its properties.

Basecamp Resorts manages 12 properties spanning six categories, including resorts, motels and hotels, suites, cabins and glamping sites, lodges, and luxury hotels.

The technology will be introduced first at Everwild, a new brand launched by Basecamp that offers accommodation, spa facilities, and food and beverage services at a Nordic-inspired wellness destination.

Basecamp Resorts chief marketing officer Geoff McLean said: “We needed a modern PMS that could keep pace with the experience we want to deliver. Mews is not just robust – its constant evolution and guest-centric approach mirror our own values.

“Tools like automated payments, seamless reporting, and the ability to send payment links have reduced manual work and made onboarding quick and intuitive for our staff.”

The resort group is already employing various connected technologies such as Revinate, IDeaS, QuickBooks, SiteMinder and Trybe to support scalability.

According to Mews, Basecamp’s approach is focused on using a scalable technology stack to facilitate future expansion across its destinations.

McLean added: “Mews is simply a better fit culturally too. We’re both innovators in our fields, and partnering with software that moves as fast as we do is a game-changer.”

The implementation of Mews is expected to provide the infrastructure needed to support evolving guest expectations and operational demands as the group continues its growth in the Canadian hospitality sector.

Mews CEO Matt Welle said: “Basecamp Resorts brings a unique blend of adventure and wellness to the Canadian Rockies, and it’s a privilege to help them create seamless, elevated guest experiences.

“Their commitment to curated journeys aligns perfectly with our vision for modern hospitality, and we’re excited to power the launch of Everwild and support their future growth with Mews.”

Earlier this month, the Parnell Hotel & Conference Centre in New Zealand transitioned to the Mews platform.
