The hotel’s design features a convex frontage on First Street that reflects the characteristics of Napa’s historical Migliavacca Building.

This architectural design is part of a broader effort to blend the city’s architectural character with its civic identity established in the 19th century by the Migliavacca family.

Central to the hotel’s design is a public paseo connecting Napa’s First Street with Brown Street and the city’s 9/11 Memorial.

This feature is intended to preserve the memorial, as well as make it a focal point for community connection.

Build Group co-founder and president Nathan Rundel said: “We are deeply grateful for our client’s trust and the opportunity to deliver on such an important project for Napa.

“This is exactly the kind of project where our expertise shines, and we’re proud to have the highly skilled men and women of the NorCal Carpenters Union leading the work on the ground. Together, we’re building something that honours Napa’s past and creates lasting value for its future.”

The project is expected to generate numerous advantages for Napa’s residents and businesses, including the creation of local construction jobs and long-term hospitality positions.

Moreover, significant investment will be made in affordable housing initiatives to ensure the city’s revitalisation is inclusive.

CMG Financial founder and CEO Christopher M George said: “This project has always been about more than bricks and mortar.

“It’s about honouring history, supporting community, and creating a place where people want to gather — whether they’re students, families, or visitors from around the world. To see this vision moving forward after years of hard work is deeply meaningful to me.”
