The first six hotels are already open for bookings, including the beachfront Faranda Hotel Rias Altas, Ascend Hotel Collection in A Coruña, which serves as Faranda’s flagship property.
The expansion includes two additional hotels set to open in mid-2025, following refurbishments. Faranda is currently working to update these properties to align with the Ascend Hotel Collection brand standards, supported by Choice Hotels’ expertise.
These hotels, located across the northern provinces of Galicia, Asturias, and Cantabria are situated in key cities such as A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, Gijón, and Santander.
Faranda Hotels & Resorts will manage the new hotels in partnership with Choice Hotels, using the latter’s advanced franchise network and cloud-based solutions such as the choiceEDGE guest reservation platform.

The agreement extends Choice Hotels’ existing franchise relationship with Faranda Hotels in South America, now encompassing 22 hotels with nearly 2,400 rooms.
