Ennismore’s Mama Shelter brand has revealed plans to open its first resort in the Val Thorens region of Savoie, France in 2027.
According to Ennismore, the new development will mark the brand’s entry into one of Europe’s highest ski locations.

The project is a collaboration between the company, Financière Galata, Vista, and Cogeco, who have partnered to establish the hotel.
The resort will offer 148 guest rooms and a restaurant with a terrace covering more than 800m². The site’s planned facilities include a bar, karaoke room, Ski Lounge, spa with sauna, treatment rooms, fitness area, and an indoor swimming pool.
The design intends to encourage guest interaction and social activities.

Development work incorporates environmental objectives, with a BREEAM consultancy advising the project.
The partners intend to reuse, recycle or recover most construction waste created during building and follow sustainable construction practices.
In July, Mama Shelter announced plans to launch Mama Shelter Bangkok Platinum in Thailand in 2029.
Ennismore is a lifestyle hotel business of French hospitality group Accor. It includes various entrepreneurial hospitality brands founded on diverse business models.
Accor recently confirmed that it is “exploring the possibility of a potential listing of Ennismore”.
In a statement, Accor said: “This transaction would enhance liquidity and flexibility to support Ennismore’s growth platform. Should it be completed, Accor would remain the controlling shareholder of Ennismore.
“There is no certainty that this transaction will be completed. The group will inform the market of developments in this project as appropriate.”
In June 2025, Ennismore signed four additional hotel projects in Mexico, increasing its portfolio in the Americas to more than 70 active and planned sites.
