Glenpark Hotel in Ayr, Scotland, has been sold to Lucy and Felix Ingham in a deal facilitated by business property adviser Christie & Co.

Financial details of the sale have not been disclosed.

Lucy and Felix Ingham, who own the Savoy Hotel on the same street, intend to convert the property into their family residence.

Christie & Co business agent for Scottish hospitality Simon Watson said: “It was a delight to acquire new owners for the Glenpark Hotel. We had significant interest in the property, with many local business owners placing offers.

“I would like to thank David Mitchell of AC White and Colin McKenzie of Kerr Stirling for their hard work on both ends to get the deal completed ahead of schedule.  I wish my client all the very best for the future, and equally to the new owners.”

Associated with OYO Hotels & Homes, Glenpark Hotel includes 21 bedrooms, a bar, a restaurant, and an outdoor seating area.

The Ayr Brewing Company Brewery is also annexed to the hotel building.

The property is located a short walk from the train station, the beach, and the local racecourse.

Additionally, this location provides guests access to Wallace Tower, a listed building and what is said to be one of Scotland’s notable monuments.

This deal comes just after Christie & Co recently facilitated the sale of Coast & Country Collection’s The Highland Hotel in Inverness, Scotland, to Singapore’s Buxani Group.
