Real estate investment company Highline Hospitality Partners (HHP) has acquired the Westin Poinsett hotel in Greenville, South Carolina, adding the property as its 19th hotel investment and its third US acquisition in 2026.
HHP purchased the asset after buying the Pittsburgh Marriott North in February and the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center last month.

The deal increases the company’s portfolio to 19 hotels with more than 5,200 guest rooms and hospitality assets under management exceeding $1.6bn.
Including four additional hotels for which it provides third-party asset management on behalf of an institutional ownership group, the company now oversees a total of 23 hospitality properties.
Furthermore, HHP has appointed HEI Hotels & Resorts to operate the Westin Poinsett. This marks the second time the two companies have worked together in a management arrangement.
Highline stated that it plans to carry out targeted renovations across the hotel over the coming years to support its position in the Greenville hospitality market.
The Westin Poinsett opened in 1925 and appears on the National Register of Historic Places as well as the Historic Hotels of America registry.
The 11-storey property includes 200 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, a lobby bar, a street-facing coffee shop and close to 10,000ft² of meeting space.
The function areas include two 3,200ft² ballrooms, which were originally designed in an Art Deco style.
HHP managing partner Chuck Pomerantz said: “We are pleased to add the Westin Poinsett to our portfolio and to expand our relationship with HEI.
“As one of Greenville’s most iconic properties, the hotel has played a meaningful role in the city’s history for many decades, and we look forward to assuming the stewardship of its legacy to ensure it remains a vital part of the community for years to come.”
HHP operates as the hospitality investment platform of Highline Real Estate Partners and focuses on acquiring and asset-managing hotel properties across different markets.
