Hilton has announced plans to launch its first Curio Collection by Hilton property in Hawaii in 2026.

The new-build, 210-room hotel, Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, Curio Collection by Hilton, will be situated within the Hōkūala Resort community on Kauaʻi and owned by Silverwest Hotels, with Hilton managing operations.

The announcement also includes the appointment of Jon Itoga as general manager. Itoga will oversee planning and operational preparations ahead of the resort’s opening.

Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi will be situated near Lihue Airport. The location provides guests access to various island destinations, including Princeville, Poʻipū, Waimea Canyon and Wailua Falls.

Hart Howerton and AHL are collaborating on the design of this property.

Planned amenities include a restaurant with lagoon views, a fitness centre, an outdoor pool, 2,000ft² of indoor meeting space, and 10,000ft² of outdoor events area. The resort is within walking distance of Kalapaki Beach.

Hilton operates over 25 hotels throughout Hawaii and has around ten properties in various stages of development.

Last month, Hilton opened The Anthem Hotel in Los Angeles’ Stadium District to serve visitors attending major sports and entertainment events in the city.
