Hilton has launched its first property in Hyderabad, India, marking a key step in the global hospitality group’s expansion strategy in South Asia.

The new Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa has been developed in collaboration with CKR Resorts. It is located in India’s Biotech Hub.

According to Hilton, Hyderabad’s gross domestic product (GDP) stands at $94bn. Infrastructure development and increased international investment are ongoing in the city. 

As a result, the city is seeing increasing demand for high-end hotel accommodation among both business and leisure travellers.

Situated on 20 acres within Genome Valley, the urban resort consists of 115 rooms, including six suites and 13 pool villas.

The accommodation draws on Telangana state’s cultural heritage, incorporating architectural elements inspired by Kakatiya design.

The resort provides 89,000ft² of indoor and outdoor event space, two ballrooms, five meeting rooms, lawns, a pool deck, and a creekside mandapam for traditional gatherings. The site also incorporates courtyards and open spaces.

Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa introduces the eforea spa brand to India. The spa offers eight treatment spaces and amenities such as a sauna, steam room, ice shower, and a relaxation area.

Hilton South Asia senior vice-president and regional head Zubin Saxena said: “This resort brings Hilton’s signature hospitality to a new destination and offers a multi-dimensional experience to guests.

“From dynamic spaces and energising environments to exceptional culinary experiences and revitalising amenities, this property is poised to set a new benchmark for leisure-meets-lifestyle experiences in India.”

Sustainability measures at the resort include energy-efficient building systems, an on-site water bottling plant, charging stations for electric vehicles, sustainable packaging methods and electric transport within the property.

These initiatives align with Hilton’s global strategy for responsible hospitality.
