Iconic Group has opened the Iconic Marjorie Penang, a 298-room hotel in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, as part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio, reported Penang Property Talk.
Launched on 17 January, the property aims to attract visitors during the upcoming Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.

The property features facilities such as an infinity pool, jacuzzi, a 24-hour fitness centre, and the WellNest Spa.
The hotel design draws influence from Penang’s Baba-Nyonya heritage.

By GlobalDataGovernment officials attended the opening ceremony, including the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang, Penang’s chief minister Chow Kon Yeow, Minister of Tourism Tiong King Sing, and local mayors.
Other attendees included representatives from Tourism Malaysia and several state executive councillors.
Marriott International’s asset management vice-president Yeoh Soo Hin represented the global hospitality company at the event.
