Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a greenfield Taj hotel project in Mohali, Punjab, India.
The planned Taj Mohali will feature 225 rooms and provide several dining options, including a speciality restaurant, an all-day dining venue, and a bar.

Leisure and wellness facilities are set to include a health club, gym, swimming pool, and the J Wellness Circle.
The hotel will include a banqueting space exceeding 26,000ft², which is designed to accommodate a range of events, including corporate functions, social gatherings, and weddings.
IHCL real estate and development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said: “Mohali’s emergence as a thriving IT and commercial centre is a key growth market in Punjab. This, coupled with the state’s increasing appeal as a preferred destination for weddings and social events, aligns with our strategy to expand in such high-potential markets.”
IHCL and its subsidiaries operate across multiple brands, including SeleQtions, Claridges Collection, Taj, Vivanta, Tree of Life, Ginger, and Gateway.

The 75-room resort includes suites and villas, each with features such as private courtyards and plunge pools. The amenities comprise an all-day dining venue, a dedicated restaurant, a bar, and a lounge tailored for safari guests.
