Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has opened the 135-room Vivanta Vrindavan hotel, marking the brand’s first property in the historical city.

The property is situated in central Vrindavan near several temples and religious sites and is designed to facilitate calm and mindful stays, according to IHCL.

Vivanta Vrindavan includes multiple dining options, a spa, a modern fitness centre, and an open-to-sky infinity pool.

There are also versatile banqueting halls and meeting rooms suitable for both social gatherings and business events.

IHCL’s new businesses and hotel openings executive vice-president Deepika Rao said: “India’s spiritual destinations continue to see sustained and diverse travel demand, and Vrindavan remains central to this journey.

“Vivanta Vrindavan adds to IHCL’s growing presence across key spiritual centres, offering a stay rooted in the ethos of the destination.”

IHCL currently operates a portfolio of 620 hotels, including 255 in the global pipeline, throughout four continents, 14 countries and more than 250 locations.

Last month, the hospitality company signed an agreement to operate a SeleQtions hotel in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. IHCL planned to convert an existing standalone resort and expand its capacity to 120 rooms.
