Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a framework agreement to launch seven new Ginger hotels, furthering the brand expansion in key cities.
The agreement covers a combination of greenfield and brownfield developments. The collaboration has commenced with the opening of the 59-key Ginger Gurugram hotel in Palam Vihar, Gurugram, Haryana.

In total, this pipeline will add more than 1,000 rooms to IHCL’s portfolio under fully fitted lease arrangements in partnership with Rajdarbar Group.
IHCL real estate and development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said: “The midscale segment in India continues to witness strong demand driven by the country’s sustained economic growth across the manufacturing and service sectors, coupled with rising aspirational travellers.
“This framework agreement for multi-hotel development with Rajdarbar Group reflects the widespread potential for the Ginger brand across metros, state capitals, commercial centres, industrial townships, pilgrimage destinations and leisure circuits.”
Rajdarbar Group director Vasudev Rakesh Garg said: “The Rajdarbar Group firmly believes in the immense potential of Tier-2 cities in North India and aims to develop Ginger hotels, making them available in key locations such as Jaipur, Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan, Hisar, and Karnal.

IHCL manages a portfolio of 615 hotels, including 255 under development globally. Its brands include Atmantan, Brij, Claridges Collection, Gateway, SeleQtions and Vivanta.
In January 2026, IHCL signed an agreement for a new Gateway-branded hotel in Hennur, Bengaluru. This property will feature 350 rooms and marks a greenfield development in the northern suburb of the city.
