IHG Hotels & Resorts and Egypt-based real estate company Al Ashraaf Developments have reached a management agreement to establish a Holiday Inn brand hotel in Al Obour City.
The property will provide direct access to the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road, facilitating connectivity to Cairo International Airport and nearby residential, commercial, and industrial areas.

The hotel will comprise 170 guest rooms, including 11 suites. Other facilities will include four food and beverage outlets, five meeting areas, and several retail options.
The design of Holiday Inn Cairo Al Obour incorporates the brand’s Open Lobby concept, offering guests integrated spaces for work, dining, and relaxation.
Al Ashraaf Group CEO Ahmed Amin Masoud said: “Our partnership with a global leader like IHG to launch Holiday Inn in Al Obour City marks a strategic milestone for Al-Ishraf’s investments.

By GlobalDataAccording to IHG, Al Obour City has seen substantial development and is recognised for its transport links and proximity to ongoing urban projects.
The agreement is poised to add further capacity to Cairo’s hospitality sector as the city continues to serve as a central hub for travellers in North Africa.

IHG operates eight hotels in Egypt under brands such as InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, and Staybridge Suites.
The company has announced plans for 22 additional hotels across Egypt within the next two to five years.
