IHG Hotels & Resorts has approved Oracle’s OPERA Cloud hospitality platform as a property management system (PMS) for its hotels across the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia (EMEAA) and Americas regions.

The approval adds Oracle to IHG’s list of approved PMSs and allows hotel owners and franchisees to select a system based on their business requirements.

Oracle commercial cloud applications executive vice-president and general manager Alex Alt said: “We are proud to deepen our longstanding collaboration with IHG to deliver cutting-edge cloud technologies to their franchisees.

IHG properties that use OPERA Cloud can run operations and data on a single platform with the aim of standardising processes and supporting guest and loyalty member interactions.

Oracle said OPERA Cloud includes secure single sign-on and quarterly updates designed to reduce the need for IT intervention while maintaining operational standards.

The platform is also live and supports fiscal compliance in 236 countries and territories. It simplifies IT, centralises data and makes information accessible to everyone, anywhere.

The hotel cloud solution features an open architecture, open APIs and built-in integration services to meet hoteliers’ needs.

In September 2025, Accor selected the Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud PMS to optimise and enhance its hotel operations.
