The move forms part of IHG’s broader strategy to support tourism development in the Philippines.

The upcoming hotel will be situated in Bonifacio Global City, a major business district in Metro Manila that has undergone significant redevelopment over recent decades.

The area is currently a centre for finance and enterprise, housing institutions such as the Philippine Stock Exchange and several multinational companies.

Facilities at InterContinental Manila are expected to include multiple dining options, comprising an all-day restaurant and a speciality venue with a bar.

“This signing reinforces our commitment to expanding our Luxury & Lifestyle presence across the Philippines and the wider region.”

IHG is collaborating on this project with Keyland Corporation, Philippine Realty and Holdings Corporation, and Greenhills Properties.

These companies have established portfolios in residential, commercial and property development across key urban locations in the Philippines.

Keyland Corporation president Jose Ma Montinola said: “Partnering with IHG to bring a globally recognised and well-loved brand such as InterContinental to Manila is an exciting new chapter for our partnership.”
