Kimpton Fitzroy London general manager Garreth Walsh said: “True hospitality means creating a space where every guest feels not only welcomed but genuinely valued.
“Joining the Accessible Hospitality Alliance is a natural step in our ongoing commitment to inclusive design, service, and culture. We’re proud to stand with others who share our belief that accessibility should be a standard, not a special request.”
By joining the Alliance’s membership scheme, Kimpton Fitzroy London commits to participating in efforts to make accessibility a standard in the hospitality sector.
The decision followed a meeting with Charlotte Evans, who serves on the Accessible Hospitality Alliance Advisory Board.

“Its retracting staircase is one of, if not the most stylish wheelchair entrance lifts in the city, and a fantastic example of a historic building incorporating innovative design solutions into its elegant architecture.”
The hotel is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts and operates under the Kimpton Hotels & Resorts brand.
The hotel opened in 2018 in a building originally designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll in 1898.
The property provides 334 bedrooms and suites, several dining options, a gym, meeting and event spaces and a Grade II-listed ballroom.
Kimpton has recently revealed its plans to launch its inaugural hotel in Napa Valley, California, in 2028, which will expand its luxury portfolio in the US.
