Global hospitality group Marriott International has opened its first Autograph Collection in the Maldives with the launch of The Halcyon Private Isles in Gaafu Alifu Atoll.

The resort is located across two private islands and situated approximately 90 minutes from Malé by seaplane.

The Halcyon Private Isles features 38 villas, ranging from 220m² to over 1,250m², which incorporate open-plan layouts, floor-to-ceiling windows, and natural materials.

Accommodation options include island villas with access to gardens and beaches, overwater villas set above lagoons, two-bedroom ocean villas designed for families or groups, and a three-bedroom Grand Estate offering lagoon views and a rooftop terrace.

Each villa includes a private infinity pool and interiors inspired by local maritime heritage.

Guests staying at The Halcyon receive assistance from dedicated butlers who manage itineraries and coordinate activities such as marine excursions, in-villa dining, wellness treatments, and private event arrangements.

The property’s culinary venues include Thari, which serves international cuisine; Yuzu, which offers a combination of Peruvian and Japanese dishes; The Firepit for flame-grilled specialities; Yapa Sunset Bar with cocktails and small plates; and Bell Bar for signature beverages.

The property offers a wide range of dining venues, including additional private options on the beach, in villas, or on overwater pavilions.

Wellness services extend beyond the overwater spa to include yoga classes and sound therapy sessions.
