The Series by Marriott brand has debuted in Japan with the opening of the Sugata Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi.

The 256-room property is located in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi district, placing guests near Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, Amerikamura, and Dotonbori’s entertainment area.

Other destinations such as Hozenji Temple, Kuromon Ichiba Market, Namba Yasaka Shrine, and the larger Namba precinct are within two kilometres.

The hotel amenities comprise communal spaces available for guest use and Ampere Coffee & Kitchen, which offers all-day dining.

Last month, Marriott added a property in Santa Barbara, US, to its Series by Marriott collection after Hawkins Way Capital and FOUND Hotels completed the rebranding of the former Best Western Plus Pepper Tree Inn.
