The planned property will feature 145 guest rooms, including suites, and is designed as a new-build hotel.

Facilities at the St Regis Queenstown are expected to include several dining options such as The Drawing Room, the St Regis Bar, an all-day restaurant, and an event space.

The hotel will also offer the St Regis Butler Service, which provides guests with services such as packing and unpacking, garment care, and customised in-room amenities.

Additional amenities are set to encompass a spa featuring hydrothermal facilities, a relaxation and wellness lounge, an indoor heated pool, and a fitness centre.

Marriott International Australia, New Zealand and Pacific hotel development vice president Richard Crawford said: “Securing a luxury presence in Queenstown has been a strategic priority for Marriott, and we’re thrilled to soon establish the iconic St. Regis brand in such an exceptional destination.

“We are especially proud to sign another agreement with the Pandey family, a continued collaboration that reflects the trust and strong relationship between the two companies.”

The St Regis brand was established in New York in 1904 and currently operates more than 65 hotels worldwide.

The signing of the St Regis Queenstown marks Marriott International’s third project for the brand within the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific region.

PHC managing director Prakash Pandey said: “This is our third property with Marriott International and is part of an ongoing, strategic and growing relationship.

“The St Regis Queenstown will set a new benchmark in the hospitality sector within New Zealand, and we are delighted to be able to showcase the very best of New Zealand to both domestic and international guests.”
