The acquisition enables Mews to add housekeeping automation and team collaboration features directly within its platform, which will support hotel personnel throughout the guest journey.

Mews CEO Matt Welle said: “Bringing Flexkeeping’s exceptional housekeeping technology into the Mews ecosystem marks a pivotal moment in hospitality tech. We’re unlocking new levels of operational efficiency and guest experience for forward-thinking hoteliers everywhere.”

With the deal, Mews clients will now have access to Flexkeeping’s scheduling, task management, and communication tools.

These features utilise real-time property management system (PMS) data and customisable rules for managing room assignments, cleaning plans, shift schedules and inspections.

Mews founder Richard Valtr said: “For the first time, Mews’ customers will have a truly best-in-class housekeeping platform natively connected to their PMS. By integrating Flexkeeping’s advanced housekeeping suite, Mews is set to revolutionise the way hotels manage cleanliness, scheduling and staff collaboration.”

Established in 2012, Flexkeeping provides a platform that supports real-time updates for room status, maintenance and guest requests, facilitating direct communication among housekeeping, maintenance and front desk teams.

The system’s translation tools allow staff to create tasks in multiple languages using voice input, which are then automatically routed to relevant departments.

Hotel managers can use the platform to implement varied cleaning cycles and monitor workload visually, said Mews.

Flexkeeping founder and CEO Luka Berger said: “Joining Mews accelerates our shared vision to make hotel operations effortless, and data driven. It’s the natural next step for our team and technology, bringing the power of automation and collaboration to even more hoteliers around the world.”

According to data provided by Mews, hotels using Flexkeeping have reported a 40% increase in staff productivity and a 45% reduction in guest complaints.

The integration of Flexkeeping into the Mews ecosystem will allow hoteliers to manage property operations, payments, revenue optimisation and point-of-sale functions through a single unified interface.

The acquisition was managed by Mews Ventures.

Mews recently partnered with Ash Hotels to provide its PMS.
