US-based owner and operator of economy lodging locations G6 Hospitality has opened its 100th Studio 6 location in Colorado City, Texas.

Located at 940 Interstate Highway 20 West, the newly-built Studio 6 comprises 64 rooms.

The new location under the company’s Studio 6 is owned by Mukesh Bhakta and operated under the India-based entity PK Rock Hospitality.

G6 Hospitality Franchise and International Development executive vice president Dean Savas said: "G6 Hospitality is thrilled to celebrate the opening of its 100th Studio 6 alongside our long-term partner and friend Mukesh Bhakta, who has been a dedicated partner and a loyal friend of our brands for many years."

The 64-room new property features elements of the brand’s award-winning Phoenix design a and provides all essential amenities and services that the guests at the lodging require for a comfortable extended stay in Texas’s Colorado City.

In October 2012, G6 Hospitality, which is the management company of the major brands Studio 6 and Motel 6, was taken over by New York City-based multinational private investment banking company Blackstone Group.
