Meliá Hotels International has acquired two new properties in Xi’an, China, and Da Nang, Vietnam.
The 419-room Gran Meliá Xi’an Hotel will be the company’s second property in China, following the opening of the Gran Meliá Shanghai Hotel in 2009.

The Gran Meliá Xi’an Hotel, which will open in 2013, will have two restaurants, a bar, a spa and a convention centre.
The 150-room Meliá Danang Hotel will be launched in December 2012 and will offer a restaurant, a bar and a spa.
Both hotels were added under management contracts, according to Meliá.
