Six Construct, the Belgian unit of Egypt’s Orascom Construction Industries, has secured a $2.5bn contract to build a tower that will house a branch of the Four Seasons hotel chain in Bahrain.

Construction of the 50-storey, 263-room hotel will start next month, December 2011, and is expected to be completed in April 2014.

The hotel will feature a spa and leisure facilities, a restaurant, banqueting and conference space, along with four dining outlets.
