Global company PPHE Hotel Group has implemented Oracle OPERA Cloud platform to streamline its business processes and operations across its European properties.
The cloud-based platform has been rolled out as the global property management system (PMS) at PPHE’s 18 hotels comprising 5,200 rooms across the Netherlands, the UK, and Italy.

This implementation marks a transition from the group’s previous use of Oracle Hospitality OPERA 5 and allows PPHE to shift away from reliance on on-site hardware infrastructure.
By moving to Oracle OPERA Cloud PMS, PPHE aims to reduce information technology maintenance requirements and take advantage of continuous software updates provided through the cloud.
According to Oracle, the new system enables staff to access operational data from mobile devices and central dashboards, supporting more efficient management of guest services.
Additionally, integration with existing IT systems is achieved through open-source REST APIs, allowing the hotel group to coordinate reservations, sales, loyalty programmes and front desk activity through a single platform.

By GlobalDataPPHE Hotel Group technology and business solutions senior vice president Jawad Sabir said: “At PPHE, we strive for excellence, and OPERA Cloud is helping us raise the bar even higher.
“Having expanded mobile access to include data and tools spanning housekeeping and room cleaning priorities to loyalty rewards will help empower our associates to move seamlessly across the property and focus on activities that deliver the most value to our guests.”
The company will also use the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP) to expand its operational capabilities.
Access to a wide range of pre-integrated functions through OHIP will help PPHE implement new features and adapt workflows across its properties.
Oracle commercial cloud applications executive vice-president and general manager Alex Alt said: “PPHE is dedicated to delivering a differentiated and unique experience to its guests that can only be achieved with a modern, secure platform.
“With OPERA Cloud, PPHE will have the agility to continually innovate, and provide its staff at every level with the data and tools needed to exceed expectations during every stay, across every property.”
In September, Oracle NetSuite and the Oracle OPERA Cloud hospitality platform were adopted by UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle (UMHL).
