The Rancho de los Caballeros Resort in Arizona, US, has completed a $100m renovation project that began in 2021, introducing new accommodation options and updated facilities.

Located in the Sonoran Desert, the resort has unveiled the Wickenburg Suites, a set of four standalone casitas situated on the south-west corner of the property.

Each casita includes a two-bedroom suite with both king and queen bedrooms, an open living area, and a kitchenette.

Additional lock-off rooms offer flexibility for guests who wish to expand their space to four bedrooms.

Private patios with firepits extend the suites outdoors and offer views of both the Los Caballeros Golf Club and daily horse runs involving 125 horses.

Architecture for the suites was handled by Conk Architecture, interior design by Hasbrook Interiors, and construction by RJ Gurley Construction under resort master planner TAG Studio.

In addition to new accommodations, the Quarter Horse Terrace now serves as a central link between key resort locations such as the Main Lodge, Los Cab Saloon, and Main Dining Room.

The outdoor patio features a Quarter Horse sculpture and provides space for live music and guests’ gatherings.

Introduced last June, the resort’s pool complex offers multiple swimming pools, including a zero-entry pool with fountains, a lap pool, and an infinity-edge hydrotherapy pool. The complex also houses private cabanas, lounge seating, firepits, an outdoor game area, and a 3,000ft² open-air lawn for private events.

Rancho de los Caballeros’ managing director George McGann said: “We looked closely at how our guests use the ranch and where we could make it even better.

“From more spacious accommodations to new places to gather and unwind, these additions allow us to better serve returning families while welcoming first-time visitors.”

Over the past five years, the Rancho de los Caballeros Resort has executed renovations across guest rooms and suites, event spaces, dining venues, including the fine dining restaurant 19 and an enhanced full-service spa.

The resort covers more than 18,000 acres of Sonoran Desert terrain used for equestrian activities such as trail rides and barrel racing, as well as archery, pickleball, shooting sports, and tennis.
