Rosewood Hotel Group has opened its first ski resort in Courchevel 1850 destination in the French Alps, expanding presence in Europe.
The alpine resort offers direct access to the slopes and features installations from artist Olafur Eliasson in its lobby. Additional amenities include various dining options and wellness experiences.

Rosewood Hotel Group chief executive officer Sonia Cheng said: “Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, our first ski resort, is a milestone that reflects our long‑term commitment to thoughtfully expanding our global portfolio and our ability to enter new, experience-driven sectors.

With Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, the group has opened a total of eight properties this year across three continents.
The group’s 2025 openings encompass Rosewood Mandarina in Mexico, Rosewood Miyakojima in Japan, New World Jinzhou Hotel in China, and developments such as Rosewood Amsterdam and The Chancery Rosewood.

By GlobalDataIn Saudi Arabia, Rosewood will open Rosewood AMAALA on the Red Sea coast and Rosewood Red Sea on Shura Island.
These projects aim to provide access to cultural attractions, marina facilities, retail outlets, and golf courses.
Other developments include new properties in Greece—Rosewood Blue Palace and Rosewood Residence Crete—and urban expansion with Rosewood Rome in Italy.
The upcoming openings includes Rosewood Calistoga and its Residences component in California’s Napa Valley, as well as projects in Dubai and Dallas—Rosewood Dubai, Rosewood Residences Dubai, and Rosewood Residences Turtle Creek—plus Lido Key residences on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
With these launches, Rosewood aims to strengthen its offering in high-potential markets such as the Gulf Cooperation Council region by building on existing properties like Rosewood Doha and Rosewood Abu Dhabi.
Each destination has been selected for its market strength and cultural value, said the company.
