Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels has marked its debut in South Asia with the opening of The Soaltee Kathmandu in Nepal.

This addition brings Marriott Bonvoy’s total number of brands operating in the region to 19.

The Autograph Collection hotel features 285 rooms, encompassing suites with views of the Himalayas and the Swoyambhunath Stupa. The property is situated on 12 acres of land in the Tahachal area.

The hotel’s design integrates contemporary elements with Nepalese tradition, featuring local artistry such as wooden jaalis, exposed brickwork, and Thangka paintings.

The Soaltee Kathmandu offers multiple dining establishments, a spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and a clay tennis court.

In addition, 25,000ft² of flexible indoor and outdoor space is available for weddings and celebrations.

In line with sustainability efforts, the hotel has implemented eco-friendly practices, including an in-house water bottling plant, energy-efficient systems, an herb garden, and waste reduction initiatives.

The Autograph Collection Hotels brand has more than 330 independent hotels across 50 countries and territories.

In March 2024, Marriott International expanded its Autograph Collection brand through an agreement with Victoria Park Hotels, planning to introduce the collection to Hong Kong.
